Mission

Wrist Marine Logistics (WML) is looking for a visionary and execution driven individual for a meaningful role in our freight forwarding company. This person will be responsible for standardizing and optimizing processes while ensuring the effective utilization of our global operating system.

This position has a strong focus on process optimization, system utilization and close collaboration with both local branches and global Control Tower Management. You will not only get to design the future standard ways of working but also own the continuous improvement of the processes and systems. You will become part of a team of process- and change management colleagues where knowledge sharing and support are key pillars, as well as gain a network of several expert freight forwarders which will be pivotal for success in the role.

Become a part of our Process Excellence team
With reference to Head of Process Analysis and Optimization, you will become part of our strong Process Excellence team. The position is based in preferably Copenhagen or Aalborg but can also be located in other places in Europe such as the Netherlands, Germany or other.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Primary responsible/owner of the process- and system landscape of WML.
  • Own the global Operating Processes & System and ensure they are best in class and industry leading.
  • Close collaboration with SMEs in all local branches and the global Control Tower to achieve goals
  • Continuous improvement of Systems and Processes to optimize Productivity and Profitability
  • Lead the design and implementation of new systems and requirements
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and as “go-to” person for IT and System developers
  • Support Customer implementations and handover of implemented business
  • Build and maintain good relationships with external stakeholders and other Wrist BUs
  • Preferably using LEAN SIX SIGMA methodologies and assist in the implementation of the same throughout the company

Profile

Personality matters
As a person, you are trustworthy, resilient, and a “self-starter”. You possess an interest for working structured and are able to work across geographies and cultures and enjoy working close with your SMEs and customers. You find it easy to engage with new people and are considered approachable by the people around you.

Qualifications & requirements
Preferably, you have a background within Freight Forwarding and Logistics. It is preferred that you have at least 5-7 years of experience with process and change management with a strong understanding for IT system landscapes and their impact/potential for the company.

Moreover, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • Be a self-starter, with a curiosity to find growth or improvement opportunities.
  • Driven with a high sense of urgency and execution power.
  • Result-oriented and solid business acumen.
  • Thrives on taking ownership and accountability.
  • Systematic, analytical, persistent and able to prioritize, in order to deliver top results.
  • Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
