Mission

Wrist Marine Logistics (WML) is looking for a process driven individual for a newly established position. In this role, you will be leading the next phase of our global operating system development and for standardizing and optimizing processes across our global Network.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will join a strong, collaborative, and high performing team. The position can be based at either our office in Copenhagen, Hamburg or our office in Rotterdam.

Global solutions in Marine Logistics
As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in our growth journey. Reporting directly to the Global Managing Director of WML, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the global Operations function. This is a newly created position and a pivotal part of delivering on our growth strategy, with a strong focus on system development, process standardization and optimization, as well as system utilization, helping our Branch Network and Control Tower locations to run their business as efficiently as possible.

In this role, you will ensure global standards for processes, system development & utilization, as well as KPI achievement across all offices. Together with the Manager Commercial, you are a key pillar in driving global business and location expansion, delivering on WML’s strategic goals. 

More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Establish the Operations function within the global WML organization
  • Drive Process Standardization across the Branch Network and Control Towers locations
  • Own the Operating System (TMS and WMS) from a business perspective
  • Help starting up the new Locations
  • Work on Customer Solutions (Process Design) for Tenders, to find the best possible solution
  • Review and optimize month end process and speed of invoicing
  • Drive sustainable growth in Productivity & Profitability
  • Continuous improvement of System and Processes to optimize Productivity and Profitability

Profile

Qualifications & requirements
We believe it would be beneficial if you have a background within logistics or Freight Forwarding, or a related field, combined with a talent for Software and Process Management, including leveraging the latest technologies. Ideally, you bring a process- and system-oriented mindset, backed by a proven track record. You understand how to collaborate with others and are open and ready to travel regularly for visits to local Branches. If you are eager to learn and grow, we offer you the perfect opportunity in a very interesting niche market.

  • Ability to think and act tactically and operationally – out of the box thinker.
  • Driven with a high sense of urgency and execution power.
  • Result-oriented and solid business acumen.
  • Thrives on taking ownership and accountability.
  • Systematic, analytical, persistent and able to prioritize, in order to deliver top results.
  • Microsoft office (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
