At Wrist Group we offer an exciting position as a corporate counsel with great opportunities to work with a wide range of legal disciplines relevant to supporting and developing a global business.

We are currently looking for a curious, bright, structured and self-motivated addition to our Group Legal team at Wrist. Our Group Legal team is responsible for all legal and compliance matters within the Group globally and engages with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders such as business partners, other Group Functions, local lawyers as well as local/regional management.

The Group Legal Counsel position is based at our headquarters in Nørresundby and reports to the Group Legal and ESG Director.

Key responsibilities
In this role, you will be exposed to a wide variety of legal and compliance matters across the Group’s global operations. While no one is expected to be an expert in every legal discipline or jurisdiction, the role requires a general ability to take ownership of issues, identify the relevant legal considerations and drive pragmatic solutions.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Participate in all legal and compliance tasks globally
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts in all areas, e.g. purchase and sales contracts, IT Contracts
  • Perform compliance tasks, hereunder monitor and raise awareness about sanctions, anti-bribery, GDPR and competition law group wide.
  • Give professional advice to colleagues at all levels
  • Build professional relationships globally within Wrist to ensure approachability in the Group Legal department

Profile

Qualifications & requirements
We expect that you hold a cand.merc.jur., cand.jur., or an equivalent relevant foreign degree. In addition, you are collaborative, flexible, reliable, and have a professional approach to your work. 

Furthermore, we expect that you have:

  • Positive and efficient personality preferably structured and good at establishing processes
  • Proficient in English verbally as well as written
  • Interest for compliance/governance, experience with this area is an advantage
  • Interest for commercial considerations and challenges
  • Good mood and a pragmatic approach to find solutions together with commercial colleagues
  • Experience in similar job is an advantage
